LATEST UPDATE

Picture
With the hundreds of ticket requests and emails that keep coming in, we know that many fans of the Little Nashville Opry were making plans to be with us late this fall for our Grand Opening.  At this time it looks as if that opening will have to be pushed back to next spring.

We had hoped to get construction started earlier this year, however we are still working through a few of those inevitable delays that come with a project of this size.  While things look quiet at the building site, rest assured that plans are still moving forward.

Once tickets go on sale they will be available here on line and by contacting the box office.  We look forward to seeing you soon at the Little Nashville Opry!

COUNTRY MUSIC NEWS....

NASHVILLE, INDIANA  Due to a story published  on May 8th with some inaccurate information, a number of media outlets reported that progress has "stalled" on plans to build a new building at the Little Nashville Opry site in Brown County.
That statement is incorrect.
While progress has been slower than anticipated, it has by no means "stalled".  It is unfortunate that some assumptions were made in the story before a press release could be issued by the Little Nashville  Opry.
Together with the support of Nashville and Brown County officials we are moving forward with plans that will make the Little Nashville Opry a part of the area for years to come.
We will have more information to pass along as we move closer to construction.
Thanks for your support.  We look forward to seeing you in the future at the Little Nashville Opry.

HENDERSONVILLE TN
The Oak Ridge Boys recently took time off from their vacation to sing for a very special audience.  Former President George H. W. Bush had been hospitalized for 2 months with a fever and severe cough.  At the request of the 88-year-old former Presidents wife Barbara, the group met at their office and surprised Bush with a phone call.

In a recent interview with Scott Wayman on WCBK radio in Martinsville IN, Oak Ridge Boys lead singer Duane Allen said the former President asked the group to sing "Elvira".  Allen said the Oak Ridge Boys and the Bush family are long time friends, and that the group is proud to have been given the opportunity to sing for the former President.
